Geita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML) is Tanzania’s leading gold client with a single operation in Geita Region. The company is an attachment of AngloGold Ashanti, a transnational gold buyer headquartered in South Africa. Its operations are in more than ten countries, in four Mainlands. 

The mine is positioned in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania. It is only about 85 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s Southeast of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. The company has its head office in Geita. About 5 Km’s west of the fast- growing city of Geita. But also, a supporting office in Dar es Salaam.

 As an educated Geology Specialist, you will work to ensure effective transfer of ability and knowledge to beginner geologists. Particularly on underground mining geology, aligned with professional and specialized development plans. 

 QUALIFICATIONS 

01•  Minimal A Degree in Geology 

 02• Accredited geology and/ or mining assiduity professional (CIMM, SAIMM, JORCetc.)

 EXPERIENCE 

02• Proven experience in planning underground disquisition and mining geology work programs.

03• At least 5 times of experience with designing specialized training programs and shops in the mining assiduity. 

04• Demonstrated capability to design specialized training events for studies and mining geology work. 

05• Expansive knowledge of educational design proposition and literacy principles. 

06• Proven capability to master the full training cycle and faculty development. 

07• Familiarity with traditional and ultramodern training styles, tools and ways. 

08• Familiarity with the company’s gift operation and race planning. 

09• Capability to conduct cost- benefit analysis and calculate return on investment for knowledge transfer. 

10• Capability to present complex information to a variety of cult. 

11• Proficiency in QAQC systems and database software. 

• Assessing faculty situations in relation to needed tasks at colorful situations of hand’s career path. 

• Restate delivery conditions into a training matrix that will prepare workers for the coming step of their career path 

• Build periodic training programs and prepare training modules suitable for the training matrix 

• Deliver training courses where applicable. 

• Assess training effectiveness to ensure objectification of tutored chops and ways into workers’ work.

• Set trainees/ workers up with small, manageable systems in line with the training programs 

• Give direct affair support to Geology Manager in terms of training budget planning 

• Receive field attachment campaigners’ and work collaboratively with sectional heads of the department through the processes of covering trainees while onsite and icing their well- being (inductions, reels, payments, PPEs etc.) 

• Work with the Exploration Superintendent and UG Mine Geology Superintendent in developing disquisition and resource drilling strategies for the LOM underground systems at Geita 

• Support the UG Mine Geology Superintendent in developing underground ore slice strategies and to support grade estimation, ore shadowing and conciliation work. 

• Support the UG Mine Geology Supervisor with grade control and resource modelling maintaining high norms of data confirmation, modelling, model scheduling, handover, auditing and conciliation 

• Plan and schedule underground slice and drilling conditioning to support mining product schedules 

• Support the UG Mine Geology Superintendent in optimizing drilling styles and schedules, within available budget, to give geological information within sufficient time to optimize decline development and medium- term LOM options 

 • Give geological input into the Mine Planning process (in a collateral cross functional relationship) through mine design, impact assessment of different mining styles/ ways on dilution and mining recovery; as well as schedules which optimize both the geological drilling and mining to the maximum possible extent. 

 • Support the UG Mine Geology Superintendent in developing periodic budgets for underground disquisition and infill drilling according to the Mine’s business planning schedule. 

• Give recommendations for mine planning designs that maximize the cost associated with disquisition and mining development 

 • Develop and cover Geological mapping of development drives and slice data accession and storehouse to the loftiest norms

• Proven experience in geological work processes of underground gold mining systems. 

 • Demonstrated capability to grease chops transfer/ on the job training/ coaching. 

 • Knowledge of colorful training/ coaching evaluation styles and performance monitoring. 

 Leadership Capabilities 

• Capability to direct structured literacy guests and cover their results. 

• Must demonstrate strong work ethics and capability to communicate graciously with co-workers. 

• Capability to consider other UG Dept’s deliverables and pretensions in Geology work programs. 

• Motivates platoon by furnishing strong sense of urgency for meeting AGA’s strategic pretensions.
