Building a Better Tomorrow Program 2023 (BBT)

The Government is aware of youth and women’s challenges in the agriculture sector including access to agricultural land, capital, technology and the market. The Government has initiated a special program known as Building a Better Tomorrow – Youth Initiative for Agribusiness (BBT-YIA) to address youth and women challenges in the agriculture sector. The program will be implemented throughvarious agricultural value chain projects under the block farming model for youth and women. Currently, the Ministry of Agriculture has identified 162,492 acres of arable land for crop production in the following regions:-

  1. Mbeya – Chunya District (52,165 Acres);
  2. Dodoma – Chamwino District (17,000 Acres) and Bahi District (3,600 Acres);
  3. Kagera – Misenyi and Karagwe (3,227 Acres)
  4. Kigoma – Uvinza and Kasulu (86,500 Acres)

Criteria need to join the program

  • Have Entrepreneurship skills.
  • He should be Tanzanian
  • He should be between 18 and 40 years old
  • One year experience and continuing in agriculture and agribusiness.
  • He should have good character, patriotism, discipline, hardworking, positive thinking, honest and who likes to see positive results.
