From a dispensary to a district level hospital, we keep pushing the boundaries of our growth.
Alexia Hospital is a registered facility under the private Hospitals Advisory Board (PHAB) Act by the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children, registration No. 073359.
Alexia Hospital was established in April 2014 as Alexia Dispensary. In 2016 it was upgraded to a health center and in 2021 it was upgraded to a district level hospital.
We take pride in our staff, who work tirelessly to provide quality, compassionate and individualized health care to all our patients.
Alexia Hospital is well equipped with modern equipment and technology which allows better healthcare provision for patients. It also has a pool of well-trained personnel who ensure that patients receive the best possible care. Learn more about our services here.
Alexia Hospital provides treatment as per the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare Standard Treatment Guidelines (STG) and National Essential Medicines List for Tanzania.
The hospital is strategically located right at the Toangoma Market Centre and on the main Kongowe – Mjimwema road (See directions here). We also have dispensaries in Bunju B, Mwapemba and Vikunai which continue to extend some of our services to the communities in which they are located in those areas.
