 JOB ANNOUNCEMENT (ONE YEAR CONTRACT)

The Secretary of the Public Service Employment Secretariat on behalf of the Secretary General Ministry of Health welcomes job applications from Tanzanians with qualifications and ability to fill fifty four (54) positions as specified in this announcement.

 1.0 MINISTRY OF HEALTH

 1.0.1 NURSE CLASS II- 20 POSITIONS
 1.0.2 DUTIES

 i.  To perform nursing tasks to serve customers in the community, hospitals and all places where health services are provided;

 ii.  Supervising and coordinating all the work of health workers in his workplace;

 iii.  Collecting statistics and preparing information on its work performance;

 iv.  Providing services to patients at home;

 V. Providing counseling;

 v.  Providing preventive and contraceptive services;

 vii.  Providing maternity and child health services;

 viii.  Educating patients and the community about their health problems;

 ix.  Monitor the maintenance of work tools in its work areas;  and

 X. To do other work assigned by his superior related to his education, experience and skills.

 

1.0.3 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

 Employed with a two-year Nursing certificate from a College recognized by the Government and enrolled (Enrolled) by the Council of Nurses and Midwives in Tanzania.

 

1.0.4 SALARY

 Based on the Government standards ie the TGHS A Salary level


1.0.5 ASSISTANT NURSING OFFICER GRADE II – 25 POSITIONS
 1.0.6 DUTIES

 (i) Providing nursing services;

 (ii) Collecting important health statistics;

 (iii) Directing the work of the nurses under him;

 (iv) Educating patients and the community about their health problems;

 (v) Providing preventive and reproductive services; and

 (vi) To do other work assigned by his superior.

 

1.0.7 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

 Recruiting graduates of the fourth/sixth form with a Diploma (Diploma) in Nursing, of at least two years from a College recognized by the Government, registered with the Council of Nurses and Midwives in Tanzania.

 

1.0.8 SALARY

 Based on the Government standards ie the TGHS B Salary level.


 1.0.9 MEDICINE/DENTIST GRADE II – 6 POSITIONS
 1.0.10 DUTIES

 (i) All the work done by the Physician Assistant;

 (ii) Diagnosing and treating common diseases;

 (iii) Supervising the performance of employees under him and performing minor surgeries;

 (iv) Participating in planning and implementing Primary Health Services;

 (v) Advising and motivating citizens to contribute to the Health Services of the Community Health Fund;

 (vi) Keeping records of equipment and tools to provide services;

 (vii) Keeping records, preparing and providing implementation information; and

 (viii) To do other work assigned by his superior.

 

1.0.11 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

 Employed graduates of the fourth/sixth form with a Diploma in Medicine/Dentistry of three years duration from a College recognized by the Government.

 1.0.12 SALARY

 Based on the Government standards ie the TGHS B Salary level.

 
1.0.13 STATISTICIAN GRADE II- 3 POSITIONS
1.0.14 DUTIES

 i.  Designing and developing a National system for collecting and coordinating statistics;

 ii. To develop a procedure for collecting data as well as for taking data from “sampling” examples;  and

 iii.  Collect, analyze and present high-level statistics.


 1.0.15 QUALIFICATIONS OF THE APPLICANT

 Employed with a first degree in the field of Statistics or Mathematics or equivalent qualifications from a University recognized by the Government and with the skills to use “information communication technology” (ICT).

 1.0.16 SALARY

 Based on the Government’s standards ie the level of Salary TGS.D.

 

GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR ALL WORKS.

 i.  All applicants should be Tanzanian Citizens and not more than 45 years of age.

 ii. Interviewees with disabilities are encouraged to apply for a position and should show the type of disability they have on the “Employment Portal” for recognition by the Public Service Employment Secretariat;

 iii. All applicants must attach a birth certificate.

 iii.  Applicants who are already public servants and have obtained qualifications to enter different cadres than they have, should forward their job application letters to their Employers and the Employers should satisfy themselves accordingly.

 iv.  Applicants should attach a detailed C.V with reliable addresses and phone numbers as well as the names of three reliable referees.

 V. All applications must be accompanied by professional certificates, information, copies of certificates certified by a Lawyer/Attorney, which are fourth and sixth form certificates for those who have reached that level and various training certificates based on the qualifications of the relevant work.

  •  Postgraduate/Degree/Advanced Diploma/Diploma/Certificates.
  •  Form IV and VI examination certificate
  •  Computer Certificate
  •  -Professional certificates (Professional certificates from respective
  •  boards)

 v.  Testmonials”, “Provisional Results”, “Statement of results”, form four and six result documents (FORM IV AND FORM VI RESULTS SLIPS) WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

 vii.  Applicants who studied outside of Tanzania should ensure that their certificates have been verified and approved by the relevant authorities (TCU, NECTA and NACTE).

 viii. Applicants retired from the Public Service are not allowed to apply unless they have the permission of the Chief Secretary.

 ix.  Job applicants who are already employed in entry-level positions in the public service should not apply and should follow the instructions contained in the Circular and CAC.  45/257/01/D/140 dated November 30, 2010.

 X. Presentation of information and falsifying characteristics of the parties will be taken legal action.

 xi.  The deadline for sending job applications is March 29, 2023.
