Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for providing support to academic departments. He/She will be entailed to provide overall administrative support including coordinating some aspects of the program such as promotions, recruitment, curriculum administration, admissions, resource and financial management. The candidate is required to be independent in decision making within a delegated area of authority as well as exercise of leadership in the management of administration support services.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing and advertising materials for functions and events.
  • Prepare and potentially deliver presentations for recruitment purposes.
  • Represent the program at various recruitment events, roadshows and career fairs.
  • Promote the program to visitors and representatives both internal and external to the institution.
  • Advise registered and prospective students of program options and requirements which requires maintaining knowledge of course and program curriculums
  • Counsel students for better understanding of the adherence of the course and program selections to established academic, prerequisite, and graduation requirements.
  • Assess students’ priority for limited registration in courses and provide suitable alternatives to meet degree requirements and career paths.
  • Provide students with information regarding program policies and information about program requirements.
  • Use existing admissions criteria to assess for admissions and their eligibility for acceptance.
  • Review and evaluate academic records of prospective students.
  • Investigate questions and resolve problems concerning program, curricula, and admissions.
  • Collect, analyze, assess, and summarize information relevant to the decision-making process and develop recommendations for final approval and implementation.
  • Gather and compile information required for a variety of documents and reports, including but not limited to, program accreditation, enrolment, and degree audits.
  • Act as a mediator between faculty and students when dealing with various issues, including but not limited to, special accommodations, scheduling conflicts, grades
  • Survey and monitor academic programs offered by competing institutions
  • Responsible for the administration and collation of course evaluations and the creation of, monitoring and collation of alumni surveys.
  • Facilitate meetings with, including but not limited to, program stakeholders and student groups.
  • Identify and analyze problems with the program and prepare recommendations for review and approval by the program Director.
  • Provide orientation and show procedures to others.


Requirements and Skills

  • BSc/BA in Business or relevant field
  • Requires a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in administration office of an institution.
  • Proven experience as a program coordinator or similar role
  • Experience in budgeting and fundraising
  • Familiarity with industry-related laws and regulations
  • Knowledge of recruiting processes
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Analytical thinking
  • Problem-solving aptitude
