New Vacancies at Project Zawadi

Project Zawadi (PZ) Tanzania Jobs, 2023

Overview

Project Zawadi (PZ) is an NGO whose mission is to ensure Tanzanian children and youth have access to a quality education. We work hand in hand with local communities, public schools, local and central Government Authorities, and national and international education stakeholders to address the teaching and learning needs of teachers and students in Tanzania. Located in Bunda District, in Mara Region, PZ has three programs: Student Sponsorship, Tenda Teachers and Model Schools.

The Student Sponsorship program provides uniforms, school supplies, textbooks, mentoring, and career counseling to hundreds of students with the greatest need. Tenda Teachers provides over 400 teachers from 42 public primary schools with interactive Continuous Professional Development (CPD) training sessions to equip them with internationally recognized best teaching practices including strategy instruction and review, curriculum – based examples in every subject area, teacher discussions, role plays, strategy practice, quizzes, testimonials and clips of Tanzanian teachers using best practices.

Through the Model Schools program PZ works in partnership with 4 local schools and their communities to improve school infrastructure (by renovating existing facilities, building classrooms, building teachers’ housing, providing water systems, etc) and by providing other services such as leadership development training, school farms, and student clubs.
